The 100% Model

We made a clear and ambitious promise: every dollar from public contributions would be used exclusively to support long-term clean water initiatives. Even transaction costs didn’t stand in the way—if someone donated $100 via credit card and we received only $97 after processing fees, we would make up the difference ourselves to ensure the full $100 funded water projects. By separating our project funding and operational costs—with distinct objectives, fundraising strategies, and bank accounts—we are able to ensure that every cent from public donations is directed solely toward delivering clean water to communities in need. So far, our approach has earned the support of over one million people across more than 100 countries. Discover more in our 100% Model Overview.

How do our operating expenses get covered ?

From the very beginning, we’ve relied on the generosity of private donors to cover our operational expenses. Though this path isn’t without its challenges, we remain unwavering in our commitment. Transparency is at the heart of what we do—fostering trust among our devoted donors, dedicated fundraisers, steadfast brand partners, and passionate volunteers. Together, we share a common belief: clean water has the power to change lives forever.

A revolutionary way to give back

The Wotter is a collective of visionary business leaders, founders, and entrepreneurs who dedicate a share of their private equity to fuel our mission. In return, they gain access to a unique employee benefit program—the first of its kind—that rewards nonprofit staff with equity incentives. This groundbreaking model not only empowers organizations to attract and retain talent but also upholds our 100% Pledge: every public donation funds clean water initiatives, with operational costs covered entirely by our community’s private contributions.
